Morning: Coffee, Calendars & Creativity
My day usually starts early. After a quick coffee (okay, maybe two!), I sit down with my planner to review the day’s priorities. Some mornings are dedicated to sourcing fresh blooms for Rung Florals — often from local Minnesota growers when in season — while others start with design boards and timeline check-ins for upcoming events.
Living and working in Eden Prairie gives me access to a supportive community and a variety of beautiful venues. Whether I’m designing an elegant bridal bouquet or sketching out the layout for a backyard baby shower, I’m always thinking about how to bring each client’s vision to life in a way that feels fresh, intentional, and uniquely them.
Midday: Blooms, Budgets & Behind-the-Scenes
By mid-morning, I’m usually knee-deep in flowers — and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Arranging stems for a birthday surprise or assembling centerpieces for a graduation party (especially this spring’s trending black and gold themes) is my favorite part of the day.
Sometimes, I’m also meeting with clients in person or virtually — walking them through event logistics, color palettes, rental options, or flower choices. As both a florist and event planner in Minnesota, I offer clients the ease of having one point of contact for design and coordination. It’s a win-win.
Afternoon: Deliveries & Details
Afternoons are typically spent delivering arrangements or visiting venues. Whether it’s a bouquet for a weekly floral subscription in Eden Prairie or setting up a full floral install for a corporate event downtown, there’s a rhythm to the work that keeps me inspired.
Minnesota weather definitely keeps me on my toes — winter events come with their own set of challenges, while summer weekends are jam-packed with outdoor celebrations. Flexibility is key, but so is preparation.
Evening: Recaps, Reels & Rung Love
Once the physical work winds down, I switch hats. Evenings are often for business development — updating the Rung website, posting behind-the-scenes reels, responding to inquiries, or writing blogs like this one.
At the end of the day, it’s all about connection. Every bouquet from Rung Florals and every event by Rung Events is a reflection of someone’s celebration, milestone, or memory. And I get to help bring it to life, right here in Eden Prairie.
